Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojna, also called PMFBY, is a very important scheme which the Government has started for the farmers. This is for the farmers who want to ensure their crop so that they can avoid flooding and losses due to crop failure.

In this, farmers have to have agricultural insurance with their land documents, under which they have to pay a premium according to the amount of land on their farm. Let's know the Prime Minister's Crop Insurance Scheme very well.

PMFBY was started by Hon'ble Prime Minister Narendra Nodi in January 2016. This scheme is supervised by the Department of Agriculture, Cooperation and Farmers Welfare.

⚫ Only people with no loan can apply. In this scheme, they have to give the necessary documents            such as Aadhar card, a copy of a land paper.

⚫All types of small farmers can easily apply to the Prime Minister's Crop Insurance Scheme.                Through this scheme, the government wants to save the loss of the crop failure of more and more        farmers.
⚫The government has started this scheme to encourage more farmers to ensure their crops.
⚫The premium of insurance is very low in PMFBY. In this, 2% for Kharif crops, 1.5% of rabi crop         and 5% for a commercial crop.
⚫According to the percentage of crop failure, when the crop gets spoiled, all the money is deposited       in the bank account of the farmer who applied for crop insurance.
⚫This scheme has been tax-free for the farmers.
⚫If a farmer wishes, then crop insurance can keep Nominee of insurance while applying.

    Or, after any kind of natural calamity, the farmers can claim the registered farmers in the crop              insurance scheme.

Sometimes, to remove the fruit, the farmers collect and harvest their crops. If the crop is ruined by natural inclination within 2 weeks, then the government provides the amount of insurance to that farmer.

No one has understood the natural disaster until today. Occasionally there is a lot of crop loss in some places in the same area and in some places it is not very much. In such a situation, the government also gives the number of insurances for a specific area.

⚫ First, visit the government's Crop Insurance website - (click here)
⚫ Then click on Farmers Application.
⚫ Scan your Aadhaar and land documents in advance.
⚫ After that, a bigger online form will appear, fill it up. Fill all the information right in it.
⚫ Then register through Mobile Number.
⚫ After registration, you will get an Order Id and keep it printed.
⚫ To know your application status, you can learn by logging in via Mobile Number and OTP.
